The redone Imagine was not David's first or second or third or even fourth choice. The producers would not clear songs David wanted to sing. Cook didn't have the producers not clearing songs. And as for risk taking, you don't know much about music if you think Archuleta didn't take risks. Unfortunately, many of his risks were denied.

Nov 10, 2008 - I don't have anything against Archie but frankly I got bored with him farily early on. A lot of them bored me but Cook never did. I thought I would shoot myself if I had to listen to another ballad of Archie's. He's a sweet kid & he was a good voice but the "woo-woo" & the eyes closed & licking of lips etc., was very annoying. He looks & acts 12 so I'm not into kids singing & a constant diet of ballads. Now he's doing tween pop-why didn't he do that during A.I.? It was like he was programmed.

Nov 10, 2008 - There are royalty issues so producers have to get the songs cleared first from the original artists. Archie added "my boo..." to a song and was told not to because he was part of another song & he did anyway to make the song more "hip" and the producers were pissed off because they didnt' get it cleared. Some artists don't want a particular singer doing their song because they don't want it butchered so they don't give permission. Doing covers of covers don't apply though & no permission req'd.

Imagine that...as for him looking and acting 12, well I don't know too many 12 years olds who can write the kind of music David has. Check out "Falling" by David Archuleta and tell me he acts 12. As for your comment on him being programmed, he was, AI did it to him. Controlled very much what he sang and didn't sing.

You are referencing the situation that took place with "Stand By Me" and even that information is incorrect. Do you all believe everything that is written in TMZ and other journalistic reviews? Dropping this topic because if you don't like David Archuleta and you don't get him I actually feel more sorry for you than I am mad at you for not liking him. It's your loss.

Nov 13, 2008 - Well this isn't an Archie vid but Archie fans spend 24/7 on DC's sites to put him down. No, I don't like Archie nor his kind of bubblegum music but I know a lot of people like that kind of sound and he should do well. They both have different genres and audiences. There are a lot of artists I don't like & plenty I do like so how can you feel sorry because I don't like Archie? He's just one of many artists in the music business.

Nov 15, 2008 - because he went up against a one trick pony. Archuleta had his niche, and he could blow anyone out of the water in it. He simply didn't do anything else, it got stale, and he lost by 12mil votes as he should've. The bigger question is why didnt he get the boot a week or two earlier?
