This week I received a very special package from the US. My partners at EBN sent me a 6 inch version of their amazing product. In this video I show how I have chosen to put it together. The stack is extremely easy to put together. No glueing, No hanging around waiting for stuff to dry, just bolt it together and go! ----- My eventual goal is to power a vehicle off of water - by extracting Hydrogen out of the Water and feeding it to the fuel mix chamber. Aug 9, 2008 - well done !!! very well done !!!

FluxCapacitor2008 Says:

Aug 9, 2008 - Shrink tubing works good for the rods

FluxCapacitor2008 Says:

Aug 9, 2008 - I like to run 110volts house power to a high amp bridge rectifier that gives me 110volts DC. (FOR A SERIES CELL ONLY) You will have the same wattage as say (12volts X 40Amps = 480 Watts Vs 110VoltsDc X 4 Amps = 440 Watts) but the amps will be lower so your wires and terminals will have less heat. Check out some of me videos of my setup. Sweet Cell by the way

Aug 9, 2008 - Electrical Shrink Tubing For The Rod insulator

FluxCapacitor2008 Says:

Aug 9, 2008 - SERIES CELL: Run power to one side of the cell and the electrolyte will connect the center plates and the negative will be connected to the other end. Just putting that out there, you probley know more then me about it. Thanks

Aug 9, 2008 - Thanks for showing us Stu matey.

AlmostHydrogen Says:

Aug 9, 2008 - Hey Stu, All I can say is... SWEET! I look forward to getting one of these dry cells in the future. Peace, Steve aka AH

vancecook7 Says:

Aug 9, 2008 - Stu! glad to see you back. :) Question for you ... do the remaining holes all align with the plates alternated like that?

MadStu1978 Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - Yes they do! :) I need to get hold of some more threaded rod so I can have all of the holes filled.

MadStu1978 Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - Thanks Steve :) This style has to be the future.

MadStu1978 Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - No problem, Thanks for watching :)

MadStu1978 Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - Thanks, always good to have info like that :)

MadStu1978 Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - Yes, I've seen many done in this fashion. To run in a vehicle you'd just need a power inverter to change 12v dc to 110 (or 220v in uK) ac so then use the rectifier to change back to dc. A variac will also be able to control output.

MadStu1978 Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - Yep, I don't have any though. I'll also be trying to find some nylon bolts.

MadStu1978 Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - Well, what can I say? As you well know, there's not much effort needed to put one of these together. It's all built so well and so precise, I'd bet even my 3 year old Son could do it! EBN has done an excellent job on this product. I'm proud to be a partner. I can't wait to get it running!

deltahho Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - Well Done Stu!! It dose look like childs play, looks like lots of fun to be had with cell setup I better start saving some money up to get one lol. I blow up my bubbler the other day :-( and the blowout did NOT work so back to the drawing board for that one I might try a differnt way. I'll make one of them self reseting bubblers and give that a try. Keep up a good work mate!!

MadStu1978 Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - Yeah, I think SSC will soon show a video of the amazing flash port that the EBN R&D team invented. Hopefully that should help.

SmartScarecrow Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - I am very high on that flash port the R&D guys came up with ... I did finally manage to get it to fail yesterday when I was playing with the generator and hit it with backfires about 50 times ... but all things considered, it stood up VERY well considering we could probably sell the thing for about $20 or so ... am torn between making it tougher but more expensive or staying with current design and keeping it cheap ... tough decision to make ...

warjon Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - Great to see you back! I've been following the EBN with great anticipation. Just a little suggestion to all you guys at EBN. If you use heat-shrink on the bolts it will be VERY clean and it's also thinner than the tubing that Scarecrow and Zero uses. That will make the plates fit very easy due to the smaller diameter. Also, the heat-shrink will stay on the bolt permanently which reduces the amount of parts in the system. Not to mention being 100times faster than using tape. -peace

dlwammo Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - The sleeving on the kits are used because it is a little thicker walled than the shrink tubing. To make the assembly easier you can either clamp the endplate down after you've inserted the bolts, or if you're using threaded rod you can stick the second plate over the short piece of rod sticking out the backside. This holds the rods/bolts fixed firmly in place while you're assembling. It makes assembly much simpler since the rods/bolts won't flop around while sliding the plates/gaskets over...

MadStu1978 Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - The kits will come with proper sleeving - I am only using electrical tape as I've not got any proper heat shrink or anything. This is just temporary because I couldn't wait before I could get my hands on some proper stuff.
