Are Mormons Christian? Yes! Mormons are Christian. Mormon testimony of Jesus Christ "Now, to anyone within the sound of my voice who has wondered regarding our Christianity, I bear this witness. I testify that Jesus Christ is the literal, living Son of our literal, living God. This Jesus is our Savior and Redeemer who, under the guidance of the Father, was the Creator of heaven and earth and all things that in them are. I bear witness that He was born of a virgin mother, that in His lifetime He performed mighty miracles observed by legions of His disciples and by His enemies as well. I testify that He had power over death because He was divine but that He willingly subjected Himself to death for our sake because for a period of time He was also mortal. I declare that in His willing submission to death He took upon Himself the sins of the world, paying an infinite price for every sorrow and sickness, every heartache and unhappiness from Adam to the end of the world. In doing so He conquered both the grave physically and hell spiritually and set the human family free. I bear witness that He was literally resurrected from the tomb and, after ascending to His Father to complete the process of that Resurrection, He appeared, repeatedly, to hundreds of disciples in the Old World and in the New. I know He is the Holy One of Israel, the Messiah who will one day come again in final glory, to reign on earth as Lord of lords and King of kings. I know that there is no other name given under heaven whereby a man can be saved and that only by relying wholly upon His merits, mercy, and everlasting grace can we gain eternal life." Nov 6, 2008 - "you are assuming that I am a Catholic" no Catholics are secure in their religion. They don't come around here and attack other religions to help them feel good about their own.
TheBeatyBunch Says:
Nov 6, 2008 - Funny what happens when someone decides he doesn't want to abide by a religion. It happened to the muslims, who split off from Christianity, and it happened to you guys. Who are so blinded by sin you forget JOSEPH SMITH WASN'T PROPHESIED TO COME AND CHANGE CHRISTIANITY. Only Jesus has been prophesied to come and change Judaism. So plz don't call urselves Christians. Call yourselves whatever you want to, but you are not saved. You just believe one of many antichrists beliefs.

Nov 6, 2008 - Catholics, like many others think it's about works and rituals. This was one of the very things that Jesus rebuked the Pharisees on. They thought it was by their works, rituals and good deeds that they could attain heaven.God does love and honor faithfulness, but it is not by deeds or works that one is saved.Neither our "goodness" nor deeds save us.If that were the case omiolo,Jesus wouldn't have had to die for our sins in the first place.Deeds are the result of spiritual growth and love for Him.
MULESLAX Says:
Nov 6, 2008 - Listen omiolo, I understand that you believe you are doing work for God, but you're not. Your following a false religion. I worship the real God, not any pagan God. Joseph Smith is a LIAR. Have you repented of you're sins and been born-again? Do you FEEL diffrent from when you were a slave to your sin? Becoming a Christian is not changing your beliefs, it's litteraly being saved from the death of your sins! Many of Joseph Smith's prophacies never came true! Only one mustn't come true, he lies!
omiolo Says:
Nov 6, 2008 - "I understand that you believe you are doing work for God, but you're not" and here I thought Jesus who is the Christ was the judge. But I guess it is you???
omiolo Says:
Nov 6, 2008 - "I worship the real God, not any pagan God." that is what the devil wants you to think!
omiolo Says:
Nov 6, 2008 - Joseph Smith knew that no enemy then present or in the future would have sufficient power to frustrate or stop the purposes of God.
omiolo Says:
Nov 6, 2008 - We are all familiar with his prophetic words: The Standard of Truth has been erected; no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done

Nov 6, 2008 - Attacking you? No.YOU brought up Constantine.Non-Denominationals don't follow Constantine-lol.You're calling me insecure for trying to tell you what the Bible says to look out for? Yet,Mormons can come to MY door attacking me & that I'm wrong for believing in the Bible only?My question is this:Why use the Bible at all if based on false doctrine or doesn't have enough Truth alone by itself? Why not use solely the Book of Mormon then? Don't you see it's ADDING to the Scriptures by doing that?
Hiswillnotmine76 Says:
Nov 7, 2008 - The other thing is this:Obviously Mormons do not see me as a Christian either. If they did, then why don't they accept it when I tell them I am saved b/c I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior? That answer is not good enough for them and they try continuing to push their Book of Mormon on me,which tells me that they don't believe the Bible is sufficient enough. For me,that's never going to change b/c I believe it is more than enough.
MULESLAX Says:
Nov 7, 2008 - I hate the Devil.
MULESLAX Says:
Nov 7, 2008 - Christians are supposed to judge all things am I wrong? And it is not Jesus who is the Christ, it is The Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ our God.
omiolo Says:
Nov 7, 2008 - "And it is not Jesus who is the Christ," I have noticed that about you!
omiolo Says:
Nov 7, 2008 - Matthew 1:16 "And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. "
eesemekam Says:
Nov 10, 2008 - I am not a mormon. i say this because i want you to know that i comment openly w/o any influence from any religion or belief. i don't know much about mormon belief. but they have a good argument related to the origin of our doctrine of the "trinity"--niceen creed or the council of nicea, etc. if they are right, then we are not the real christians. so there is an open ended discussion about this because of new discoveries. somehow many christian denominations differ in concept of jesus christ.
eesemekam Says:
Nov 10, 2008 - it's unchristian to say mormons are not christians just because they differ in our concept of jesus christ.

yoursilentfilm Says:
Nov 10, 2008 - The Nicene Creed of the Council of Nicea doesn't argue anything. IF you read the bible you will clearly see that the LDS understanding of Jesus and the Father are not correct. Even their own scriptures Book of Mormon clearly states the Trinity as the Christians see it.
yoursilentfilm Says:
Nov 10, 2008 - "it's unchristian to say mormons are not christians just because they differ from our concept of jesus christ." (John 8:24) NKJV "...for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins." It is important to understand who "He" is. They believe Jesus is not the Father and that he is a seperate God, which doesn't make sense because the bible clearly states that there is only one God. The bible also clearly states that God takes false prophets and religions very serious.
PrepeiNaSasPw Says:
Nov 16, 2008 - Mormons are not Christian because they do not believe that Jesus Christ is God. They do not believe in the Holy Trinity.
PrepeiNaSasPw Says:
Nov 16, 2008 - No. It is a fact. What defines Christians is our belief that Jesus is God. Mormons are trying to redefine Christianity (just as they accuse gays of redefining marriage). It's truly irnoic.
razerback121 Says:
Nov 17, 2008 - The Trinity is Heavenly Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. They r "one" only in the sense that they work together AS 1 towards the same goal, but r 3 completely seperate beings.

Nov 18, 2008 - Have to love an all powerful, all knowing god that makes people far from perfect and then BLAMES US for his mistakes. Yes there are people in the world that believe in another god just as you do in yours. Usually brainwashed by their parents as you were. religionfactreport dotcom

Nov 6, 2008 - What pagan god are you referring to? If you mentioned Constantine b/c you are assuming that I am a Catholic,I'm not-lol.I am a Non-Denominational Christian. You may want to ask me if I follow that creed before assuming I do.I believe Genesis-Revelation only, nothing more and nothing less.I do not follow Catholic Doctrine.Again,I'm not a Catholic.
