Directed by award-winning filmmaker Andrew Jenks East Coast Showdown (ECS) is the most competitive, full-field, full-contact, INVITATION ONLY lacrosse tournament in the country. We believe that lacrosse is as much about community as it is about competition, and the ECS tournament is an exciting and energized space where participating players come together and display their talents. We are a truly player-oriented tournament. We have re-instated classic rules like the ability to dive through the crease, and we've added revolutionary rules like the 2 point shot. That's right boys, take it inside for the dunk or step back and rip a deep two! This year 145 college coaches have been invited, solidifying ECS as a place for intensity, creativity, and the display of the best raw talent the country has to offer. The efforts of ECS will not only fill the fall season with a sense of purpose, but it will also provide the best setting for elite high school players to be recruited by a variety division I, II, and III colleges. No longer will September lacrosse be down-tempo; the revitalization starts now. Sep 18, 2008 - Andrew Jenks is the next great American filmmaker. Just listen to him speak about his movies on itunes or youtube (one feature film he directed when he was still a teenager). I met him at a film fest in Europe and the kid is one word: focused. The film world has taken notice, says on IMDB he signed with one of the big agencies in LA. Just Google his name. Why he is wasting his time with commercials? I have no idea (although i think its wicked awesome despite my lack of laccrosse insight!!).
