Dharam says that what attracts him to a woman is her eyes and her lack of vanity. Hema says she fell in love with him because he was strong, handsome, and had a peaceful face. It was also stated that not only was Sholay the couple's most successful film to date but it was also the significant landmark of their love as they fell in love while filming for the famous film:)

Those words and SO MUCH MORE are what describe THE MOST famous couple in all of Hindi Cinema, the everlasting princess, Hema Malini, and the mighty prince, Dharam. Both made magic in films and behind the camera! Their chemistry was unexplainable, for they bonded like NO OTHER! All-time, irreplaceable greats!

Jun 21, 2008 - My most favorite couple in ALL of cinema, whether it be Hindi or not! They were a huge part of my childhood, growing up, and still are. Both contributed so much to the Indian Cinema, whether it was through acting/dancing or through charitable works. If Hema were to be a pint of honey, she would be the sweetest! Hercules would've never been a match for Dharam, for he was strong in character and will!

I especially love two of Hema's outfits in the film: The red sari (which is my favorite, since red is my favorite color:)) and the yellow one, with the white flowers and the shiny accessories.
