Oct 22, 2008 - Every key tuned is relative the previous or next key. We use A4 which is usually tuned at 440hz as a reference point for all other keys. Allegedly the standard for A4 was changed from 432hz to 440 in the 1930's. There are all sort of harmonic equations and connections to sacred geometry like the golden phi ratio that can be tied into 432 hz.
