The use of a single NXT limits the number of controlled motors to only three. In order to overcome this limitation, a special device ('Analogue Multi-Output Device') has been constructed. With this the simulated race is fully automated and no manual intervention is required. Race takes place in steps and at a given time only one athlete is in move. Thus, don't expect that runners will complete the race in 10 seconds... this is a "slow motion" race. Symbolically the "Ultimate Race" has been submitted for publishing in NXTLOG on the 8th of August 2008, the official opening date of the 29th Olympiad. The LEGO Vault is coming soon.
