You have no idea how happy you guys make me. You're the best! Be prepared for an extremely angsty love square. lol That's right. Love triangles only hurt three people and that's not nearly enough, so I had to make a video that has a love square. haha I actually just really love this song and I've been planning to make a video to it for about a year. I was going to do Final Fantasy, but I instead decided to use it for the Lord of the Rings fandom. No bashing the ships please. Right, so I tried to keep this video rather simple. I didn't want to overuse effects or anything, since they wouldn't go with the song. Anyway, I used to like this. Now I'm not sure, but I'm not going to be able to work on it anymore anyway. ☆ A Morning Star Production ☆ Song: "9 Crimes" by Damien Rice (feat. Program Used: Sony Vegas 8 -x- Storyline - x- Back-story (shown a little in the intro): Arwen and Legolas are happily in love. As heirs to Mirkwood and Rivendell, they plan to marry and bind the two elf nations together. Aragorn is in love with Éowyn, a shieldmaiden of Rohan. Both Aragorn and Arwen are perfectly content with their lives. One day as Aragorn is travelling from Edoras to Rivendell, his adopted home, he meets a beautiful stranger in the woods. She introduces herself as Arwen and both feel an immediate attraction for the other. They learn that they both are going to visit Rivendell. Arwen has been living in Mirkwood with Legolas for a number of years but now wants to see her father Elrond. They reluctantly decide to travel together, both fighting feelings of attraction. Once they arrive in Rivendell, Arwen and Aragorn try to avoid one another, but they keep seeing each other and eventually start meeting. "Just to talk," they told each other. But they start having an affair. After a few months, Aragorn is due back at Edoras while Arwen must go to Mirkwood again. They leave and hope that this one-time affair could be forgotten, erased, simply a mistake that could be ignored. Events of the video: Arwen returns to Mirkwood with Elrond, where she will marry Legolas. On the day of the wedding ceremony, Arwen finds that she still has to fight feelings of love and attraction for Aragorn. She tries to remind herself that he is in her past, so she goes through with the ceremony. After a few days, Legolas realizes that something is wrong with Arwen. She is withdrawn and does not want to be near anyone. He confronts her about her behavior, and Arwen admits to the affair she had with Aragorn. Legolas is shocked by the confession. Though Arwen tells him that this fleeting fancy will pass, both know her words to be a lie, and they are caught up in a cycle of hurt and betrayal and guilt. Back in Edoras, Aragorn starts acting distant and cold toward Éowyn. He slowly realizes that he no longer loves her -- his heart is with the beautiful elf maiden. Éowyn, hurt and confused by Aragorn's sudden actions toward her, demands the truth. Once he tells her about Arwen, Éowyn cannot help feeling even more hurt and jealous. Aragorn detaches himself from Éowyn even more, regretting what he's done, but seeing no way to remedy the situation. All four characters battle with feelings of guilt and hurt and betrayal. Though Aragorn and Arwen apologize, their words are empty. They do not regret what they've done; they only regret that their actions have hurt Legolas and Éowyn. I'm sorry. No happy endings here. lol It wouldn't be a true angst-fest if anything remotely happy happened. Disclaimer: I do not own the clips nor the music.
