And its free. Boots up real fast without outrageous hardware upgrade requirements. I'm still keeping the WinXP on dual boot and the Panther for nostalgia. The Linux nerds were right all along.

Sep 22, 2008 - You cant compare the speed of the SDD & HDD without having the same operating system boot up. Mac OSX is a much more complex OS and takes longer to boot. Also, WinXP is notorious for when the screen comes up, most of the services are not actually loaded yet or running... youll run into trouble if you try to do something right away, they intentionally do that so it appears to boot fast to non-technical people. When the Mac OSX screen comes up, its ready to go.
