Dave down from Aberdeen on his second part day, after a few tandem 'ridge runs', first solos... Later shifting to the cliffs for a 40 min Dual Control Tandem training flight on G-BZJI. Having left the rucksack and camera at the top path Murray did a 'touch & go' landing so Dav could pick up the kit to film the last few beats (flown to re-gain height) the the 1.1 Km down x-wind run over the water to land on the beach after doing a 'fly by' of Dave & Karen's 'Tardis' and between the masts of the 420 & the Enterprise (my pals beach hut and boats) Great flight to end a fantastic training session :-) Precision Paragliding providing an alternative to the BHPA since the late 90's for BHPA & ex-BHPA pilots wishing to RE-train or new pilot entering the sport who do NOT wish to risk the standards/accident rates produced by 'normal' PG theory, practices & procedures!

Jul 26, 2008 - Well done Dave, nice landings ;) Cool flight back to the beach !

murrayhay Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - With only two part days out, Dave has had a few decent length ridge/thermal flights (on YouTube) in Fife on a very sunny Monday afternoon, and a number of higher wind evening Hops & Ground Control (tandem). This day it was just a few ridge runs to gain experiance of this site, Ground Control taining [sand!] then on to the simple 'first solo(s)'! With the wind backing we switched back to the long Dual Control Tandem training flight 'Feet Wet' :-) (not filmed ~ then the fly to beach fimed)

Jul 26, 2008 - Hi Murrayhay, wath is the wind speed ? How many days in month you have good wind ? Were is this place ? Bye

murrayhay Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Solo flights, wind was about 12kts (1st) to 15kts (last solo). At the launch point for the Dual Control Tandem training flight (not filmed) wind was about 12kts, once 100ft above the cliff about 15kts. So far this week... and we should be flying tommorow (Sunday) we have had 5 days flying (4 with students)... The average year sees over 200 flying days in Scotland! Location: Lunan Bay, east coast of Scotland (NE of Dundee)
