Strangest Pizza Delivery Ever. Filmed in Hawaii. Crazy... Explanation of Marooned with Debbie: This Film is about the transition from the blissful innocence of childhood to the complexities and disappointments of the enlightened adult life. In the beginning, walking out as a Pizza man for Papa Johns, I represent a child in blissful oblivion. The cheesy music as well as the overall situation display this. Then, when I open the door, I am discovering a new, vast world: Adulthood. Much broader and less nurturing than my previous life, at first I am dazzled with it, then disappointed. The new "Anthony's Pizza" represents the change in my attitude. I come across Poseidon, who is inspired by his nephew to recapture the innocence of childhood. He then formulates an elaborate plan that will recapture his childhood innocence while taking mine away. The innocence is represented by the "Papa Johns" pizza box, while the Anthony's Pizza box represents awe and wonder in adulthood. A person that does not have a pizza box, however, has completely lost the innocence of childhood. In the end, Poseidon successfully recaptures the Pizza Box, converting it into a "Papa Johns" box again, and restoring childhood to himself. He then paddles off into the sunset with his nephew, the inspiration of childhood and innocence. I am finally left alone in the adult world, forced to take the place of Poseidon. I reluctantly accept my position, and wait for a day to recapture my innocence. In the mean time, I enjoy the perks of what adulthood does have to offer, i.e. "Debbie, more coffee."
