Nov 8, 2008 - Hahaha, what a load of rubbish. "The Americans entered fully in 1918 and the war was won by Novemeber that year." Typical American war video.... No account of the British and French contribution, which was much much more expensive in terms of men and machinary.

Nov 13, 2008 - These American legacy videos are full of ****, lol they're basically saying the reason why the allies won WW1 was because of the US... pfft typical of American documentarys.
Solaufein123 Says:
Nov 15, 2008 - It is a fact that the entrance of the USA, which meant a gigantic increase in manpower and material for the Entente, Germany had no chance of winning. So, even though it is not known who would have won or lost without the USA entering WW1 (as Germanies military wasn't even pushed behind its own countries border), there is no doubt that the USA shortened the war and made a victory for Germany unreachable.
OrigLanceR Says:
Nov 16, 2008 - agreed, the British and French did the heavy lifting for 4 years. U.S. joined late, fresh manpower guaranteeing that germany would be defeated..In no way did the U.S. ride in and win the war by their lonesome, it swayed the balance of power to ensure no British/French defeat...much respect from this American towards the British and French and other allies for their HUGE sacrifices.
