The song is ΠΟΤΕ ΜΟΥ ΔΕ ΜΙΛΩ ΓΙ΄ΑΥΤΗ (when don't I talk about her), by Pantelis Thalassinos (Παντελής Θαλασσινός). The paintings are mostly from Anselm Feuerbach. The models are: Giorgos Bavelis, Charis Plousis, and Giorgos Chimonetos. Diomedes (Διομήδης) was from Argos (Άργος), beautiful and ancient. Some of the pictures of the landscapes are of this great city, which according to scholars, was one of the homelands of Pelasgians. Diomedes was a great warrior and became a king at a young age. He was perhaps even more important than Achilles in the narrative of the Trojan war. He also led 80 ships, coming close to Agamemnon's 100. During the Trojan war, Athena gives him the ability to recognize gods when they assume human form. He injured Aphrodite and derailed many of the plans set by the gods favouring Troy. Alluded to in the video is Metempsychosis, the ancient Greek belief in reincarnation believed to have originated with Orpheus, and championed later on by Pherecydes (Φερεχύδης)and Pythagoras (Πυθαγόρας). All comments are welcome!

Jul 27, 2008 - 3:31 is Odysseus and Diomedes fighting the Thracians. Odysseus is also shown with that skull cap, and Odysseus is greek from ithaca. the pliss of the Albanians was taken from Greeks. Homer describes how the Greeks wore leather skull caps in the war of troy

Aug 26, 2008 - Diomede was the greates and true Trojan war Hero. He did most of the fighting and did well, while achilles was sitting idle and trying to plot against his own Mycenean army. I beleive he should be credited with the glory that was given to Achilles.

Yanitsaros Says:

Aug 27, 2008 - yes, it's true, Achilles is there only for the literary point of showing how personal anger can harm the nation, while Diomedes is the character that is noble and courageous

shoryukenx Says:

Sep 9, 2008 - excellent vid! I found Diomedes to be the most exciting and heroic characters of The Iliad. I was starstruck when Athena gave him super human abilities and, yes, that he was able to see the Gods. I remember reading that even Diomedes came face to face with Apollo, and that he came very close to actually killing him.
