Aug 18, 2008 - Halo and Marathon are NOT connected at all. Master chief could not be the Marathon Marine because he (the Marathon marine) was in stasis from 2472-2773. Also in Marathon humans have plasma weapons, teleportation and A.I.'s that don't die after seven years. The reason there's alot of references to Marathon is because they were both made by bungie and Marathon was a pretty successful game and so Bungie decided to reuse some of their ideas.
