Here's a rare glimpse at the NWA's U.S. ladies title belt, defended here by Judy Martin against Velvet McIntyre. Kind of a weird ending to this one...

Aug 6, 2008 - Judy is always my favorite, but I did love seeing Velvet being able to pull this victory off.

Aug 7, 2008 - Looked like they ended up pinning each other....LOL....It's amazing, though, when I watch a match like this with Velvet in it from her early years. No offense, but in this match there's not much muscular tone to her body...but then to see the progression she made as the years went on, especially in her legs. Absolutely incredible.

Aug 10, 2008 - I have always loved Velvet McIntyre. I was very happy to see Velvet win this Title Match. But I have to admit, Judy Martin was also one of my Favorites as well. I loved the WWF Match where Judy Martin wiped the Ring with Desiree Petersen. Although, by luck, Desiree won the Match, still, Judy Martin could have put her away that night. Judy Martin was the Premiere Woman Wrestler!

ez2tv3 Says:

Aug 12, 2008 - Which Judy vs. Desiree match are you talking about? Judy dominated Desiree in 2 of the 4 matches on here.

Jiltedin2007 Says:

Aug 12, 2008 - I don't know, only twice, I have seen Judy Martin faced Desiree Petersen. And both times, Judy Martin could have killed Desiree. These matches were back in 1985, when they wrestled in the WWF. I think it was 1 and 1, between the two of them. It was too long to remember.

ez2tv3 Says:

Aug 13, 2008 - Those are the matches I'm talking about. Desiree and Judy likely hads TONS of matches, not just the ones that are on TV, but also many more in untelevised house shows. No doubt that Judy ripped Desiree to pieces in the untelevised house show matches they had, too.

ez2tv3 Says:

Aug 14, 2008 - No offense to Velvet detected, you're right. In this particular match, though, Velvet didn't need the muscular tone yet, since she had the wrestling skill.

ez2tv3 Says:

Aug 17, 2008 - Velvet McIntyre was a hearing impaired wrestler. You would never know that seeing her in the ring.

ez2tv3 Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - Judy Martin is the reason why I want to see a power bomb in a woman's pro wrestling match. Judy was the first U.S. wrestler male or female to bring that finishing move to North America.

ez2tv3 Says:

Aug 23, 2008 - Judy Martin was the first woman wrestler in particular, and the first North American pro wrestler overall, to debut and use the power bomb in North America.

ez2tv3 Says:

Aug 26, 2008 - Velvet won the WWF Women's Championship in Austrailia on July 3, 1986, but she lost it 9 days later. The WWF refused to recognize the win.

ez2tv3 Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - Little know facts about Judy Martin: Judy was born in Oklahoma, and is related to the St. Louis Cardinals Pepper Martin, a member of Baseball's Hall of Fame.

ez2tv3 Says:

Aug 31, 2008 - Velvet and Judy were 2 of woman wrestlers who trained Desiree Petersen. The other 3 were Leilani Kai, Penny Mitchell, and Princess Victoria.

ez2tv3 Says:

Sep 1, 2008 - Velvet's first title was winning the NWA Women's Tag Team Championships with Princess Victoria.

ez2tv3 Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - Another little known fact bout Judy Martin: Judy is also a former Japan All-Pacific Women's Wrestling Champion.

thanhbites Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - I have never seen a match ware valvet hair was not pulld .

ez2tv3 Says:

Sep 14, 2008 - That makes 2 of us.

ez2tv3 Says:

Sep 27, 2008 - Judy's Glamour Girls tag team partner, Leilani Kai, was also a former Japan All-Pacific Women's Wresting Champion.

ez2tv3 Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - Correction. The WWE has acknowledged Velvet's WWE Women's Championship win in 1986.
