Bill Young [R-FL] Here is a form letter taken from: http://www.freewebs.com/spadecaller/churchandstate.htm Dear Representative______________, I oppose H. Res 888 and call on you to uphold the constitutional mandate that calls for an absolute separation of church from state. There is an urgent need for Americans to become aware of this menacing force that opposes the basic principles for which this country was founded upon; and those are religious freedom, religious tolerance, and the absolute separation of church and state. Political fallout for those who defend the constitution should not be the excuse for a complicit congress. This is not, nor will it be, an issue that remains in the dark. I hope you choose to uphold our constitution and to resist those who care to establish an unholy alliance between religion and politics. The line that once separated church from state is currently under attack by factions of the Christian right. Among them are Christian Fundamentalists, dominionists, and revisionists. Regardless of labels, these individuals comprised of religious leaders, heads of corporations, private citizens, politicians, and appointees in all branches of the government, must be confronted by those that we elect and hold accountable for protecting our constitution from enemies, foreign or domestic. In this case, it is a domestic enemy conspicuously organized to overthrow and to rewrite our constitution so that one religion, Christianity, becomes the dominating force in our government. This must be stopped. Should any politician place their personal and religious affiliations above their oath of office, they are not fit to serve; and it is up to the electorate to prevent their re-election. Like many Americans, we will be watching how you vote in regards to H. Res 888. I hope you will consider my request and vote according to what is best for all religions and all Americans. Thank you. Jul 3, 2008 - i could see how some wouldnt want to vote agaist this. cleary proves my hypothesis that the christians ARE IN FACT trying to take over.

spankythedog56 Says:

Jul 10, 2008 - one of the resolutions is: (3) rejects, in the strongest possible terms, any effort to remove, obscure, or purposely omit such history from our Nation's public buildings and educational resources; wanna bet these r the same assholes that would work their asses off to make the theory of evolution illegal?

spankythedog56 Says:

Jul 10, 2008 - i feel slightly alienated at the fact that any respectable person could only be able to say this so passionately (with 6 exclamation marks)had they seen or partaken in this...record breaking event... have a nice day and dont skip school this time :)

magichandpuppet Says:

Jul 12, 2008 - great video!

jamiegertenaar Says:

Jul 13, 2008 - hi rabidApe i would just like to tell you that before i moved to canada from holland i was tought about religion in school even though it was only twice a week i now understand that religion is bs

ghayklan Says:

Jul 27, 2008 - Well that is why they don't want to do it... If you taught religion properly to kids they would all be atheists and that would mean all the Church and Mosks and so forth would be out of business.

12inchRules Says:

Aug 6, 2008 - Lots of respect! In the Netherlands we have about the same problem: christian extremists form the goverment and state and church are not seperated any more!

Tbbk2 Says:

Aug 14, 2008 - Let the Church teach their Religion not schools... (I'm a proud Christian) Note: Keep an eye on "The religion of peace" though... (In our Country)

777ENG777 Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - what about charles darwin's theory of evolution all need to know that it is fact

cholopavo Says:

Oct 2, 2008 - darwin disproved his theories at the end of his life and told scientists to abandon them because they were false.

RabidApe Says:

Oct 2, 2008 - "darwin disproved his theories at the end of his life and told scientists to abandon them because they were false" O RLY? Can you provide a verifiable reference, or should we just take your word for it?

cholopavo Says:

Oct 2, 2008 - go ahead and research it. its out there in valid text books and websites. if youre so adimate that im wrong you should look up the information for your self.

777ENG777 Says:

Oct 3, 2008 - how did he disprove it it can be seen in all life it is Biology. it is not god it is Biology

cholopavo Says:

Oct 3, 2008 - wrong. evolution is not biology, its a theory with plenty of holes in it.

777ENG777 Says:

Oct 4, 2008 - unlike the bible..... where a old bloke got 2 of every animale because a flood was comin but did that inclued fish ??

cholopavo Says:

Oct 5, 2008 - fish live in the ocean smart one, im pretty sure they did just fine outside of a boat without any water in it.

777ENG777 Says:

Oct 5, 2008 - yep makes u think m8 :)

cholopavo Says:

Oct 5, 2008 - if by "think" you mean begin to lose faith in my religeon, no. the bibles right and youre wrong, nuff said.

777ENG777 Says:

Oct 5, 2008 - did not say that!!! but why all the other animals without gills get it bad well the duck will have it good becouse they can sit on the water :)

DrawingYou Says:

Oct 5, 2008 - @chlolpavo "nuff said" that comment just undermined anything you have to say. Thats why I say faith is anti-intellectual, anti-human and anti-God. You close off everything over a story book!

DrawingYou Says:

Oct 5, 2008 - re-post:It's really pointless to argue with believers. They are having a collective hallucination, and are locked with in a prison, built brick by brick by daily prayer. Faith will not allow its certainty to be undermined. They are technically mad. And as such are prone to violence when their delusion is threatened.

DionysusVoice Says:

Oct 6, 2008 - "fish live in the ocean" Not ALL fish. The ones living in rivers, streams, and lakes would be killed as the ocean water mixed with the fresh. "the bibles right and youre wrong" That's a bold statement. Prove it. What, prey tell, new evidence do YOU have that historians and archaeologists have been searching for in the last 2000 years but have missed? Since you *know*, then maybe YOU should be teaching college history. After all, you MUST have evidence no one else has seen.

cholopavo Says:

Oct 7, 2008 - lol your comments are ridiculous so ljust know this is the last one im responding to. ducks dont live on the water dude.

lhooq21 Says:

Oct 13, 2008 - Thanks for the post R.A. Do you know the outcome of this resolution? Or where I could find out how the votes were cast?

almartin77 Says:

Oct 13, 2008 - Sounds right to me. Just remember Waco. Those poor folks got their religion mixed in with the "state" in a very nasty way. They were mostly killed by Christians working for the "state".
