Part 9: Tim says a final goodbye to his detached ponytail in a Fu-Manchu sort of way. Each year around St. Patrick's Day, St. Baldrick's Foundation organizes fundraising events in many U.S. cities to raise money for childhood cancer research. People volunteer to have their heads shaved to be in solidarity with the many children who lose their hair due to the side effects of chermotherapy while battling cancer. They ask their friends, family and acquaintences to sponser them. Losing his locks in Boulder, Colorado on March 15, 2008, Tim raised more than $1700 for this cause. In addition, he donated his 25 inch ponytail, a growth of more than 8 years, to Locks of Love, which makes wigs for cancer-stricken children. The Boulder event sheared more than 400 heads and raised more than $80,000.

Mar 20, 2008 - Big change. How did it feel getting used to it. Are you going to grow the long hair back? Both looks look good on you. I am a 44 year old man with long hair down to my butt and I have been wanting to shave my head or buzzing it after over 25 years of long hair.
