Mar 17, 2008 - i doubt cbs "rigged" it. i think it's possible that there wouldn't have been the "vote for james or the mystery guest" vote if sharon had been evicted, but regardless he was legitimately voted back in and is legitimately back in the game.

Mar 17, 2008 - I think the reason they gave the house guests the option to vote back James is because he wasn't given the chance to be voted back by the viewers. It makes sense because it would be unfair for Alex to come back without giving James a chance at getting America's vote.
