laxbellexmort Says:

Mar 28, 2008 - Ah. I see. Personally, I don't see how going from something very original, to something completely and utterly different, without any real traces of the old style is growing...But that's just me.

30SecondsToGC Says:

Mar 28, 2008 - Naaah I do really know what you mean, because I find it weird too they totally change, but the grow-up thing is what they say in interviews. =)

laxbellexmort Says:

Mar 28, 2008 - Yeah...I get it if they wanted to try out another sound, but to totally get rid of the old...quirkiness...

AnnaMidnightStar Says:

Mar 28, 2008 - ya, i like Panic's old sound better too. even though they're saying that they're getting more mature now, i kinda liked the old songs about all of those messed up things like hookers, strip bars, fight club, invisible monsters, etc. it was so much more interesting and unique and now they sound exactly like the beatles. this album is still good and i still love Panic, but none of the songs (except for maybe Nine in the Afternoon) are really something that you could call "AMAZING".

panicmad90 Says:

Mar 28, 2008 - I wouldn't call nine in the afternoon amazing at all! pas de cheval is amazing! this album is amazing! lets face it if they wud have brought out an album similar 2 their old 1 that wud have been boring! they have changed 2 a more mature style of music which is better than a fever you can't sweat out!

PessimisticHag Says:

Mar 28, 2008 - Only real fans would know (and you would, too, if you read this) that Panic is trying to make everyone of their albums. You know how A Fever You Can't Sweat Out is all dance/alternative/strip joint-styled, right? Well, now they're making Pretty. Odd. a Beatles-based album. Their next album is going to be different--just how Pretty. Odd. is different from their previous album. Even though some might thing they've changed, they're just going through their conspiracy involving set album styles.

Sanguinevial Says:

Mar 30, 2008 - they could have done..so much more with this.

hurricanecat Says:

Mar 30, 2008 - That's bad ): The guys said that the music changed because of how they've grown up now, and they'll probably change reinvent their music AGAIN for the next album. I guess it makes sense because there's a whole 3 years difference between their old album and the new one. I don't know, I still like Pretty. Odd. And while they lost quite a number of their old fans, they've also earned new ones (:

laxbellexmort Says:

Mar 30, 2008 - Yeah, the band's planning on(I think) having different sounds for all their cds, but I just really think that they should have left a hint of the other style in...

laxbellexmort Says:

Mar 30, 2008 - Most people do know that. But that doesn't mean that people don't wish that they would've kept a hint of the old style in for this one..

wasthatrhetoric Says:

Mar 30, 2008 - Actually I don't think they're planning anything in particular- they do what they want when they feel like it. They did this because they were tired of their old sound and songs, and they were gaining influences from different bands. After all, they scrapped another album entirely.

TechnoxDisaster Says:

Mar 30, 2008 - for some reason, the beginning of the song makes me want to make out passionately with my fiance......

PessimisticHag Says:

Apr 1, 2008 - Yes, but I don't think they're actually KEEPING the style of Pretty.Odd. But, who knows? They might make another album that's kinda like A Fever You Can't Sweat Out... Possibly, they're just exploring different genres they're interested in.

xxsweetxsacrificexx Says:

Apr 1, 2008 - to be exact, it really isn't the Beatles style. It just sounds like it, this whole album is based on Alice in Wonderland. They prac. copied all of Alice in Wonderland, not that it's wrong or anything.. but they're not going for the 'Beatles look'

abcdefgeorgia Says:

Apr 2, 2008 - patd's songs are always so well written i wish i had more talent.

Bonkerz01 Says:

Apr 4, 2008 - This song is awsome! Buying the album on itunes!<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

JonieAuthor Says:

Apr 5, 2008 - I'd say 9 o'clock is a hint... AT LEAST a hint.

laxbellexmort Says:

Apr 5, 2008 - If you think so... :) Personally, I dont.

jonesrebel Says:

Apr 6, 2008 - uh...the story may be based on alice in wonderland (or so you claim :P), but the music is definently beatlesy...but it's okay, they're the greatest band ever

jesseykah Says:

Apr 14, 2008 - i agree to both. the video for 9 in the afternoon is most definitly beatles-esq, as well as this song is. but mad as rabbits is pretty obviously based on alice in wonderland.

kikio9995 Says:

Apr 29, 2008 - Ryan is such a genius! He writes all the songs! I love him so much! !!!

andiipandaaa Says:

May 3, 2008 - Actually, Spencer started this song. And Jon wrote the melody for Northern Downpour. They all contribute. But I love Ryan too. I love all of them! ^-^

xThePianoHatesMe Says:

May 26, 2008 - acctual i think it's a hint too... I don't know what kind... but I'M PRETTY SURE IT'S A HINT TOO ^^;

jonesrebel Says:

Jun 19, 2008 - mad as rabbits is a phrase, and is about paul cates, who works for the calendar bussiness, which isn't doing very good, then he quits and decides to become a musician even though he's not very good.....

Rockies4life Says:

Jun 23, 2008 - LOL YUP HE ROX I LOVE PATD
