Jul 2, 2008 - it's a simulation with my 3d fluid simulator.

Jul 2, 2008 - well watvr u call it its cool XD

Jul 2, 2008 - Awesome hehe. I was playing on GTA4 last night and the water on there looks amazing, but the splashes' forms are not quite as realistic looking as this

Jul 3, 2008 - Hey Kotsoft, what causes the fluid to become so bouncy? Awesome sim regardless however :)
kotsoft Says:
Jul 3, 2008 - i think it might be something to do with resonant frequency. kind of like how some bridges collapsed. they start twisting just a little due to things like wind, but if it's at their resonant frequency, the oscillations become bigger and bigger until the bridges tear apart. so i'm guessing that's what's happening with the fluid simulation.

Jul 8, 2008 - did you make the software? wicked stuff
kotsoft Says:
Jul 8, 2008 - yeah
ZeLamoe Says:
Jul 9, 2008 - Yeah, if the water was like this, it would be totally epic :D
CheeseSample Says:
Jul 10, 2008 - How long did it take to make the fluid simulator? Can you make a demo of it? How did you make the program?
hybaj Says:
Jul 12, 2008 - This thing would fly with CUDA :) I think it's a very logical step now to do fluid-simulators with the help of the GPU ;)

Jul 18, 2008 - VERY nice. If you ever decide to publish it or put it up for download, please, PLEASE send me the link :)

Jul 30, 2008 - Wow this is great stuff, is it running in real time?
kotsoft Says:
Jul 30, 2008 - It runs very quickly in the beginning but slows down as more particles are added. It reaches over 300,000 particles in the end which is a fairly large number for fluid simulations. But the speed is quite comparable to some of the other major fluid simulators and even faster than some.
