The UFC and Pride both did very well because they were in competition with each other and trying to outdo each other. Let's hope Dream grows much bigger.

Yes, the production values are nowhere near PRIDE or DREAM, but the level of talent in the UFC I feel is at the very least on par, and likely fairly higher than that of DREAM at the moment... just check out UFC's welterweight division.

Apr 9, 2008 - I understand why american fighters might be dominant. However, I rather watch japanese fights any day of the week. They don't care about wins, but fight for pride and excitement. UFC has a lot to learn. The most succesfull fighters from pride have blemished records. Sakurai, sakuraba, gomi. But, yet, they are the most exciting fighters to watch!

Apr 10, 2008 - American fighters aren't dominant. Every time a fighter from the WEC or UFC has gone to Japan to fight they lose. Liddell (UFC Champ), Curran (WEC #1 contender), Ludwig, Danzig (Ultimate Fighter Champ), Trigg (Former #1 contender), Pulver (UFC Champ), Josh Barnett (UFC HW Champ who beat Randy Couture) all lost when they went to Japan. I think a ton of it has to do with home field advantage and Ring vs. Cage formats.
