Remember what I said previously about no room for the two Sonic prototypes? Well... here they are generously offered by drx. Sonic 2 Beta 8 - This is almost as close as the final except two differences. The start screen doesn't have Miles Prower in between Tails (in Japanese mode, it says Sonic and Miles instead of Sonic and Tails) and Options is Option. There might be some more near the end of the game but highly doubt since this is the last beta before final. Sonic 3C - 0517 (was going to be called Sonic 3:Limited Edition) I know there are plenty of videos of this about but this has been my favourite prototype so far, Sonic 3 the way it was meant to be but unreleased. Instead you had to do the LockOn trick since this got cancelled due to high cartridge costs. Differences off the bat: Different background in Lava Reef, all of Sonic 3 MJ style music in tact but there is one that hasn't been spotted so far When Sonic grabs on the thingys in Flying Battery Zone he goes to his Sonic 2 sprite (slowed down to see) and his pallete is slightly different. Sorry for any sound problems and the picture caused by YT compression, it was better looking before :(

May 5, 2008 - Actually, the Flying Battery sprite is like that in the final, too. =P You're right about it being Sonic 2-styled, but it wasn't actually in Sonic 2.
