This video is now downloadable. Click here: http://www.4shared.com/file/63566931/f60f27a/BJ__TomJane__IllbeSeeingYou.html After I finished my 'Short Skirt, Long Jacket' crossover, I wasn't planning on doing this next, but Chixieflicks828 sent me an email asking me if I would start production on this. It took me a week to make it, but I think it turned out quite good. While most of BECOMING JANE is glorified fanfiction, there is documentation that Tom Lefoy reported said that Jane Austen was the love of his life (or words to that extent). It was in that spirit that I made this video. I decided to experiment a bit with the concept of memory (past and present) and revelations about ourselves that come from remembering. "I'll Be Seeing You" sung by Ann Hampton Calloway (SWING! original Broadway cast recording, 2000.) I own nothing. Made for entertainment purposes only. All copyrights belong to Miramax Films and Sony Classical. Clips taken from A Victorian Production.

Jul 26, 2008 - You know, I should really make it a task on taking some time off and watching this movie, that way I'll understand the story better.lol. Nevertheless, once again, you're able to place the emotions that the music you chose inflicts well with the images you chose, I'm just actually really waiting until you get your hands on a better editing program, because then you can go "buck wild" on your editing, with no limitations, and oh the wonders that'll take place with your vids.haha.

Jul 27, 2008 - It is one of my favorite movies! I downloaded it from lillysnape27's site A Victorian Production and loved the movie so much, I went out and bought the dvd two later!

Jul 27, 2008 - i totally loved the vid. but it was so sad how her life ended up nothing like her characters lives
FelicityKing Says:
Jul 27, 2008 - Although this might not be your type of movie, it's different from other period dramas because it has been given contemporary emotions. I might upgrade to another editing program, but first I want to get a dvd ripper for my computer.

Jul 27, 2008 - Thanks!

Jul 27, 2008 - Oh, this was a wonderful video, you could actually feel Tom's feelings, the music goes really well with the clips. Excelent job! Everytime I watch clips from this movie, I feel so sad for Jane, because she didn't get the happy ending of her books.
FelicityKing Says:
Jul 27, 2008 - Thank you for your lovely words! But who is to say Jane wasn't happy just because she didn't marry? It is well documented that she found her writing extremely fulfilling. Plus, if she had married, there is no guarantee she would have been able to turn out the 6 masterpieces we have today. (Since marriage back then was not the same as it it today with the law back then only recognizing women as their husbands' chattel.)
FelicityKing Says:
Jul 27, 2008 - I'm going to respectfully disagree that she had a sad life. I do think she had a sad death, but I do think she probably had a very happy life, despite not getting married to a certain fellow.
Twilightgurl92 Says:
Jul 27, 2008 - hmmm maybe your right i just ment romantically though she never really found what she was she deserved
FelicityKing Says:
Jul 27, 2008 - True. I think you might find Tillie Olsen's SILENCES interesting because she documents how many women writers over the centuries have had to choose between love and career and the reasons for their choices.

Jul 27, 2008 - have you ever read it? it does look very good

Jul 27, 2008 - Yes, it a good book. A little dry in parts, but very interesting. She also includes a list of overlooked and/or forgotten writers in the newest edition of the book.

Jul 27, 2008 - You're welcome! It will be my last BJ fanvid for awhile, because I'm fresh out of ideas for it.

Jul 29, 2008 - I like how you're able to mix the audio from the film along with the music itself. Here's to hoping that you're able to get a new editing program to due your skills justice. Keep it up.
