Here's Marilyn singing one of the great songs from Steven Sondheim's "Sunday In The Park With George." The recent UK version had the superb Daniel Evans and Jenna Russell in the leading roles. Marilyn's track is from her 1999 CD "A Mother's Voice" and she has a new CD just released called "Marilyn Michaels... Wonderful At Last." This current CD contains original songs written by Marilyn for the musical, ALYSS, based on Alice Through the Looking Glass, as well as the Great American Song book. The inner liner notes quote Broadway composer of Funny Girl and Gypsy, Jule Styne..."Marilyn , you're a thrilling talent."

Aug 31, 2008 - Talent-wise, no comparison. Marilyn Michaels is far superior to Streisand. Impressionists are respected as such, but 4 little more. This woman is the incarnation of genius. Her immaculate ear & incredible interpretive vocals are unsurpassed. Not only is her own voice exquisite but she can absolutely mimic ANY chanteuse. Her repertoire is unmatched. Streisand does Streisand. Babs is great, smart, funny, & a fine actress. But Marilyn Michaels is herself +, with a wink, everyone. MM shines!

Jul 31, 2008 - Nice to see this. I perform right across the street from this theatre. I'm a big fan of Stephen Sondheim's work. George Seurat's masterpiece is worth the acclaim. And WOW, Ms. Michaels is a wonderful performer very much in the style of Streisand.
