The whole background story for Imperishable Night, in a nutshell. Of course, I went even further back from Kaguya's time just because Silent Sinner in Blue/Cage in Lunatic Runagate have been leaking such wonderful information about the Lunarians. Then again, only about a 1/3 of this is based on facts. Another 1/3 is TouhouWiki rumors, and the last 1/3 being... just dry parody jokes. Actually, I would only take about 10% of this seriously. Anyways, my first 'create.swf' animation! Thanks, Walfas.org, this thing is a lot of fun to play around with. Made entirely with Windows Movie Maker, though, so its not really a flash or anything. Chang'e. No one really knows what she's about in the Touhou world.

Oct 18, 2008 - Oh true... I didn't mention Keine at all =O Woops! I think its more of an emotional comfort between those two than anything. When Mokou became immortal, the humans in her village didn't consider her human anymore (she probably already had a bad reputation because of her albinism). So she was exiled, and lived alone for many hundreds of years until she met Keine. Keine feels its her job to protect humans, and because she still considers Mokou to be human, this is comforting to her. Friendship!

Oct 18, 2008 - Thanks ^__^; Yeah, I think most of the effort went into making sure that every frame was the exact same size. Since create.swf doesn't save images and every single one was a screen shot o_o;

Oct 23, 2008 - I think you got timing of some events wrong. Mokou in particular. She drank the hourai elixir first, THEN she spend several centuries fighting Kaguya, it doesn't really work the other way. Other than that, good job!

Oct 23, 2008 - Well, I didn't say that she started 'fighting' Kaguya at that point. I meant that she had ticked Mokou off because of the rejected marriage proposal. Whether or not Kaguya knew she had ticked her off, though... I suppose that's a mystery.

She is also supposedly the first person that Eirin ever made immortal (if not herself?). But after the first few chapters, she was pretty much never mentioned again. However, she is based on real Japanese mythology, so there is Wikipedia information on her. As I said: "Chang'e. No one really knows what she's about."
