In this Video I try to show you the kind of spots I look for to find lot of bass almost all the time. I have some spots that are on points with rocks, logs, docks, pilings, and hundreds acres of lily pad with in 20 yards. Bass hang out in pad fields and come out and position on near by cover and structure. Early morning is a great time to fish cover and structure near other cover like pads. Cover on cover with structure is a very big key in catching big bass and good numbers of bass at that! Try start looking at points and you may find a few points that have other things on it like brush, logs dock.... Thanks for all the positive comments! I'm doing this for the ones that enjoy learning about bass just like me! Roger (The Ex-Bass Guide) (Silver Lake Wa.)

Feb 27, 2008 - structure is like a man made wall or pilings or a point. Cover is like weeds or brush. Roger

May 14, 2008 - I do not have a boat so I am usually fishing off the shores. Lakes are huge and deep what are some good places to look for. I fish in ponds also and usually have more luck than in lakes.

exbassguide Says:

May 15, 2008 - In ponds fish what you can the same is true from shore at lakes. Try to focus on wood! downed trees, docks, pilings, floating logs. In the summer fish shady spots. Also if you

May 15, 2008 - are limited by the areas you can fish, then fish mostly soft plastic baits. You can make many cast with out spooking the bas away.

Jun 10, 2008 - hey exbassguide um which is beter shore fishing or boat fishing and what is the best kind of plastic bait cause i use the shacky head soft bait

exbassguide Says:

Jun 11, 2008 - You need to think how your bait works is different cover. in open water I like a wacky rigged senko in thicker cover I like a bulkier bait like a brush hog. Skipping docks texas rigged senko. In brush I like a tube jig for skipping in to holes in the brush. Think of your lure as a tool and what tool would work best for the cover you are fishing. A wacky rigged senko in brush???? Not the best choice. Good questions! Thanks Roger

exbassguide Says:

Jun 11, 2008 - Boat fishing is normaly more productive, you can cover more using a boat.

exbassguide Says:

Jun 11, 2008 - shacky head setup is very good for when the bass are sluggish or not biting well. If the bass are acctive and you are catching lots, It may be a good line to switch to a spinner bait or crank bait. If they do not produce as well than switch back. But you may find you start catching bigger fish. You can also go bigger with your plastic baits.
