A missing 5-year-old girl was found asleep inside a local school Tuesday evening. Roenna Redmond said her daughter, Alicia Vaughn, usually attends an after-school program, gets on the bus at 5 p.m. and then arrives home at 5:30 p.m. Redmond said that when Alicia didn't get off the bus on Tuesday, she immediately called the bus company and University Academy. "I had to give it to the police and make a report and to the bus people so they could look for her," Redmond told KMBC. More than two hours later, Redmond received a call telling her that someone inside University Academy found Alicia asleep in the school office. "I've been a teacher for 35 years and never had an incident like this. Someone needs to be held accountable for this," said Ruby Vaughn, Alicia's grandmother.
