The roughest thing for her was that she couldn't drive for awhile (8 weeks maybe?) and with 2 sons (12 & 14) that was really rough. To be honest, one knee is really good again but one still gives her troubles. But, hers wasn't for a torn ligament on the side, it was something right under the kneecap in the front. Jul 21, 2008 - Oh I have been where you are.You know when you tear something.And yes it burns.I have had three surgeries on my right knee.I had a knee replacement 5 years ago.Wish I had had done it sooner.You will be ok.

Jul 21, 2008 - My mother had knee surgery a few years ago. I forgot exactly what she had done. She had to walk with a cane for about a week, but she only had to stay in the hospital for one night. You'll be fully mended in short order.

Jul 21, 2008 - Boy, I wish Vicodins did that to me. I take a Mult-Vicodin every day and it never did that. When I was a kid I remember my mom would give me Flintsones Chewable Vicodins. She would take One-A-Day Vicodins. I hope they mend you up right and quick. You sound miserable. Huggers

Jul 21, 2008 - yeah, i wore a brace for a while, then had chicken cartilage injections, then had to have the surgery. doc said i'm looking at knee replacement within 10 years & it's already been 2! YIKES!!

Jul 22, 2008 - LOL Well, the logical answer would be my daughter. But, if I'm totally honest, I'd probably have to say my gall bladder, because that hurt like HELL!! That was the most excruciating pain I have ever felt in my life! Even the after pain of the C-section!
