Feb 28, 2008 - Welcome back. It's good to see you're not dead.

Clean97gti Says:

Feb 28, 2008 - To a point this is correct. However there are certain things in history that are verifiable. For example, the battle at Thermopylae with the 300 Spartans and 700 Thespians has historical backing as well as archaeological evidence to support it. Jesus turning water into wine...not so much.

mconn2112 Says:

Feb 28, 2008 - You are correct sir!

AirborneMind Says:

Feb 28, 2008 - I consider archeology to be one of the least reputable sciences out there. Sometimes evidence is never found for events claimed to happen, and somethings are found that can't be explained (not necessarily supporting the bible) and if it doesn't agree with the standing beliefs of history, then it tends to get ignored. Their methodology is based mostly on assumptions and can't account for variables. I suggest reading "Forbidden Archeology" as an example of some of the contradictions that arise.

AirborneMind Says:

Feb 28, 2008 - Off the top of my head, I know there is the Shroud of Turin that's evidence of Jesus' existence and crucifixion. As to the miracles, I've heard of nothing. But the point is that the "historical backing" you mentioned isn't always as strong as most would like to think... oh, and it's good to see you back on Youtube.

LifeofApollos Says:

Feb 29, 2008 - if he's very much right then why bother posting up a vid to me ? :)

Clutchology Says:

Feb 29, 2008 - The same reasons why I post any video: for the observers (of the debate), and for myself.

Clutchology Says:

Feb 29, 2008 - Plus, Jack, you don't seem as obdurate as most people (including atheists), so I figured I'd take the long shot. To be honest, if I was a Christian I would have exactly the same attitude towards atheists.

Clean97gti Says:

Feb 29, 2008 - The shroud is questionable at best. But we have no real way of knowing who that shroud covered or when they actually lived and died.

favoritefood0 Says:

Mar 1, 2008 - This isn't the time for "I told you so's" :P

paixfille Says:

Mar 4, 2008 - I agree that Christianity is based on faith, but a Christian could make the argument that you cant have a rational debate with an atheist because God does exist and the non-existence of God does not exist.

InuTheDawg Says:

Mar 7, 2008 - "You can't have a rational debate with people of any faith." I love the contradiction there. Atheists have FAITH that God doesn't excist. Which, for me that would take more faith than being a Christian. It's like this, I have insurance and you don't. I have a book suggestion for you; "I Don't Have Enough Faith to be An Atheist."

InuTheDawg Says:

Mar 7, 2008 - You keep stating that Christianity is fiction, yet you provide no evidence saying so. Well, I say you're fiction. How do I know that you're a real person? You could just be some mechanical robot disguised as a human. I guess I'll have to go of a leap of faith to believe you're a real living person.

InuTheDawg Says:

Mar 7, 2008 - I love how contradicting you are throughout the entire video. "They're going to believe what they want to believe, regardless of what an Atheist says." No shit. Just like an Atheist is going to believe what they want to believe, regardless of what a Christain says? Belief is YOUR own choice, you can't make someone believe something, you can only persuade and intruige them. Ask for evidence on claims? Very well. Christainity is fiction?; prove it.

ImmortalNaraku Says:

Mar 8, 2008 - Where is the controdiction? Also he doesn't have to prove a negative.

ImmortalNaraku Says:

Mar 8, 2008 - wrong again...Athesism has NOTHING to do with faith.

Clean97gti Says:

Mar 12, 2008 - Perhaps you should learn a little something about the burden of proof and whom it lies with. But if you really want to debate it, I'd be happy to respond to your videos on the subject should you ever make any.

Gridfire Says:

Mar 17, 2008 - Prophesy CANNOT be used as a proof when human agencies are involved. Anyone can do things which a prophecy calls them to do and take credit for it. Prophecy of things like Earthquakes, which cannot be controlled by humans, are the only type of prophecy which can be used as proof.

ARCHANGELPLASMA Says:

Mar 20, 2008 - Idiots vs. Idiots.. You get nowhere.

fallenone202 Says:

Mar 21, 2008 - Christianity is like a wildfire. You can't talk to it, you can't reason with it, you can't explain to it how much destruction it is doing. It just exists and devours. Believing in a god is the same as believing in Santa Claus, but just like with Santa, if you choose to believe it, don't ask too many questions because the answers defy logic (around the world in one night without burning up from the G force? unlikely).

bigA187 Says:

Mar 25, 2008 - i believe in god...and i find education one of the best things a human can do...and my believe in faith can perfectly be combined whit education...in the qoran, there are fenominal technolagies discribed(this holy book came down 1400 years ago)...for example that the worl was round, the commen believe was that is was flat, and did you knew that it has alot of sience of the atenomy of the body..sience that still isnt discovered by the western doctors, and alot more...simply evry aspect off life

bigA187 Says:

Mar 25, 2008 - btw...western medical sience has adopted the basic atonamy from the arab world...that isnt a counsedance because its all in the qoran discrabed

amylovesbrit Says:

Mar 27, 2008 - you are a hundred percent right. i have tried on many occasions to try to make my christian friends see that their religious beliefs are fiction. they are also very hypocritical, one actually refuses to be my friend as i dont love jesus, despite me knowing her for almost 8 years before she 'found god'. he apparently speaks to her on a daily basis.... in other words, shes deluded.

arknihil Says:

Apr 19, 2008 - well said.

killatop Says:

May 24, 2008 - you are right you won't win, sure you might say they are crazy, but why single out christians...i think you should instead attack religion as a whole, as just about all religion are equally falible
