I thought that it would be cool to collect them for the heck of it. of course I use a different brush with them but I keep the sifter on and no I would never have paid $16 for them...I dub the HIP collection as the "poor man's MAC" anyway. But I still dig her reviews. They are helpful. I will say that MAC has a better variety but you can substitute sometimes. Peace.

Feb 28, 2008 - a lot of people have had trouble with blending these pigments and more trouble trying to blend them with other eyeshadows. honestly, i agree, save your money for a MAC pigment, it's way worth it instead of wasting money on the HiP. on a lighter nottte haha, i love this gal's videos they always make me giggle, and of course i learn something!

Feb 28, 2008 - I just happened to see your comment... i've been using the Laura Gellar spackle primer which is a lighter primer than the the original smashbox photo finish. I like it a lot. It costs about $25 but it's twice the size! It's available at sephora. Just a suggestion. ; )

Mar 2, 2008 - i have this in "REBEL" in the pigment. but they also come in a Shadow Stick.. which i think is really nice i also got it in "REBEL" and i like stick alot more.. do you think you could do a review compareing the two. but i still love the powered even with the mess.. love the videos <3~Karen

Mar 8, 2008 - Totally agree with you. I got this last year in november, in the purple color, and I removed the sifter and it was all over me. mac pigments are just a few dollars more and you get so much and I think the mac pigments go on smoother.

Mar 21, 2008 - 16! where do you live..i never seen them cost that much. ive seen them be anywere from 3-9 but never more. i think they compare every well with mac. considering mac as been around forever..the hip line wouldnt have that many colors. i like the fact that they are expanding. they are very blendable. and i do have the same probalem with my manc pigs gettin in the top ridges. people dont give this line the credit it deserves.
