Sep 13, 2008 - It's a simple PDS that consist of simple flipping.Why not try doing PDS using M16 with bayonet attach to it! I guess it's much more fun and exciting.Anyway i ever do it when i'm in the Army performing PDS for my Passing-Out-Parade.

Sep 14, 2008 - We're on a rookie level and only practiced for a month or so. NCC doesn't approve of real arms for PDS, not to mention bayonets to ensure the cadets' safety. Cheers :)

Sep 14, 2008 - Thanks for the info,felzus!I've lost touch of the NCC updates.I guess you guys undergo PDS training at SAF Provost Unit.The one that Millitary Police PDS using consist of a 5kg rifle,am i correct?Boy, it's really hard to do it with M16 plus bayonet attach to it.Furthermore,we need to perform it on the march.

Sep 14, 2008 - No, NCC is not affilated to Provost in any way. The central of PDS is located at Hwa Chong Institution where the cadets there are proficient in PDS. Selected cadets from other school units undergo a "Basic PDS" course conducted by the trainers at HCI where they will receive a Basic PDS badge, similar to the one which MPs receive. Our rifles are all dummy rifles, but not as heavy as 5kg. They are all about 3.5kg. Thanks for commenting :)
