July 2006 This beautifully made, poetic film looks at the child labourers in India. Its artistic style and vibrant soundtrack has led to it becoming a popular hit on the internet. The film juxtaposes images of affluence in the west, with pictures of child labourers at work in Bangalore. Instead of using interviews or narration, filmmaker Alexis Dias relies on the strength of his images and editing to get the message across. As he explains: "From morning to evening, we see these children suffering. Film is the best medium to express my feelings"

Mar 26, 2008 - World people must do a step to stop this poor children been assault in India. As a human being we can realize how pain is our heart. Lets we united and start a drastic action again this matter. I feel lot after watch and knew this children force work as a laborers.

axj9213 Says:

Mar 26, 2008 - Certainly, India is not the only country suffering from child labor and sweatshops. India is industrializing and starting to emerge as an economically stable nation, but I think there are certain things that Indian government needs to address - apparently birth control is on the top. This will dramatically eradicate much of their problems. There is pervasive corruption and the country is governed by self-centered people who works to promote their self interests.

illestDesindahouse Says:

Mar 27, 2008 - this is like the mirror image of the middle stages of industrialization in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in the west

Raddbob Says:

Mar 28, 2008 - maybe if they didnt have 5 or more children they wouldnt be be so fucked up and poverty stricken, just a thought from rational street.

jithugeorge Says:

Mar 29, 2008 - This is really sad, but just think why would a child do a job? it simply because he too need to survive or may be with the money he earns he can feed his sick mother...no one in this world will give a single dollar to any body who is need for free...those who are touched by this video should donate to those organizations which help these children. if we are not going to do it then there is no point in making any comments. seeing this the rich children should understand how much blessed they are.

mehuljadeja Says:

Mar 29, 2008 - Its very easy to shoot a movie or take pictures and upload it on youtube.U will get thousands of hits ..millions of bad comments and billions of good comments...but ask ur self a question....What have u done to improve the life of those children?

alumrock1000 Says:

Mar 29, 2008 - 37 million poor hidden in the land of plenty Americans have always believed that hard work will bring rewards, but vast numbers now cannot meet their bills even with two or three jobs. More than one in 10 citizens live below the poverty line, and the gap between the haves and have-nots is widening • Paul Harris in Kentucky • The Observer, • Sunday February 19 2006 • Article history • There are 82,000 homeless people in Los Angeles alone. for your info raddbob you fool

forsakensanctuary Says:

Mar 29, 2008 - You're so damn right! but india has a billion and a half, how u wanna help all of them? the indias who are rich in uk & usa they play gambling, etc& they don't give a damn about helping india nor other countries, some do but only some and those help only indians. what do you expect of us? In afrika people starv, get shot, aids and many other things. we have more reasons to help them rather then indians, i donate every year, but the money seem to be going in bin.MAY GOD HELP US ALL...GOOD DAY!

curiousthinker Says:

Mar 30, 2008 - so easy to say that yet so hard to accomplish in a country which is accepted be secular, religiously tolerant(there are groups who think its their religion right to have at least 4 children) and fight terrorism created by neighboring countries.India's wealth and education has been sucked for over 200 years by the west. for a country that faced such destruction India is doing pretty good but India is still recovering from the brutal British past and the west sud take responsibility for it.

sdgupt Says:

Sep 4, 2008 - The 37 million live much better than the middle class in India! can't even compare the living standards! Most of the homeless are drug addicts, mental problamatic, and the ones who did't want to finish H.S.! I know many families that came with nothing in the U.S. and all of their kids finished college! The opp. are there but without hard work nothing can be gained! India? no opp. for the vasg majority of the population and not to speak of the caste system and aborting baby girls!
