Feb 29, 2008 - aamir khan has been nominated in best award caragory for record 9 times without winning! from 1988 to 1996 and finally got it for raja hindustani in 1996. but still he didnt refuse to attend awards just for that, he has always thought filmfare is going the rong way by bringing so many unnecessary catagories and the credibility of jury wasnt upto the mark.

Mar 17, 2008 - That is all a matter of personal opinion. I go by the majority of the population. DDLJ is a good movie, according to the census. Oh and as far as QSQT goes, it was after all, an adaptation of Romeo & Juliet. Not that spectacular when you consider Aamir Khan's career as a whole (movies like Dil Chahta Hai, Lagaan, and his most recent Taare Zameen Par are quite wonderful, not to mention, original).

Mar 17, 2008 - Whether or not it is an adaptation doesn't say anything about the 'goodness' of a movie. About DDLJ, if from what you've written you're saying that DDLJ is a good movie simply because it is liked by a large group of people then I certainly don't dispute it being 'good'.

Mar 30, 2008 - I so agree that Abhishek deserved it for Guru. His character was much more powerful and he played many shades in it. From an ambitious boy to an old crippled man. He carried the entire movie on his shoulders brilliantly. SRK delivered a good performance, different from what he usually plays in his romantic films. But Chak de was a great film ALSO because of the character growth of the girls. He did not have as much of screen space and growth in character.

It's amazing to see his maturity at such a young age and the way he stayed calm and composed for his post award interview shows his true self. He is truly one of the best Actors of Bollywood. Not to forget a very talented Director too.
