Clips from February 2008 of me trying to invert...not an easy task, as you very well may see. haha Ok, so I guess I just don't have enough strength. Although, I got a little closer this time than I did in my last video...gotta think positive, right? Any tips will be greatly appreciated! :)

Mar 14, 2008 - I looked just like you do about a month ago and I was so frustrated. Don't give up and keep trying. And I agree with what cgrammeral says. Also, when you kick ur leg up tilt your upper body down and for me it helps to tilt my head and look at the ground. Keep practicing and once you get it you will be surprised at how much easier it gets each time you do it. Good luck and can't wait to see more vids from you! :)

Mar 14, 2008 - * When you are on the left side of the pole it's easier if you put your left hand above en kick your left leg up first; * when you are on the right side of the pole it is easier to put your right hand above and kick your right leg up first. Good luck.

Mar 16, 2008 - well i'm difo from cgrammeral, i'm right handed and have my pole on my right side. but i do tip my body straight down, maybe try doing a "basic teddybear" first to get the strenght up, then when your stronger just go from teddy and flip yourself back :) (im not good at help sorry lol)

Mar 16, 2008 - yeah ur kicking with the wrong foot. use your outer foot for momentum. i just fractured my rib doing that trick i was too close to the pole!

Mar 20, 2008 - I'm no expert,but here's what I've learned Strongest hand/arm should be on top, with weakest arm closest to the pole. A tank top would probably be better to practice in just so you have more skin to help grip. Tuck the pole into your weaker arm's armpit, and bring your grip down closer to your shoulders. It looks like your grip is too high, but it may just be the angle of the camera. Also swing your outside leg (which should correspond with your strongest arm) instead of your inside leg.

Mar 21, 2008 - i think your holding bac a little. You need t lean back a lot more, throw your outer leg into it as well (even though its bent). It's hard to describe: i basically think your lack of confidence is holding you bac. I know because i have the exact same problem, to scared!

Mar 25, 2008 - Have you tried this using your outer leg? I can hook my leg on the pole, but that is about as far as I can go for now. I know my problem is probably a lack of confidence or maybe fear of falling on my head! LOL :) Keep up the good work! I'm axiously waiting for you to post a new video! :)

Apr 22, 2008 - i have been trying for some months now to do this and eventually did it on saturday , so if i can do it you sure will :-)stephy gives good advice, it will definitely be a lot easier with your outside leg to hook on as you have more room to swing it when you go upside down .i will keep watching your vids to see your progress.happy poleing !!

Mar 14, 2008 - don't give up! helpful tip: whicher hand is ur strong hand, always have that hand above ur weaker hand on the pole. now, have the pole @ ur weaker side (i'm a righty so my right hand is above my left and the pole is @ my left side). now the hard part - when learning to invert, take a step back for momentum. now use ur outside leg (if ur a righty then it's ur right leg), will be the first leg to grab the pole. post a vid to let us all know!!
