Mar 26, 2008 - Look up "ABC All Star Game Open 1982" to see what I mean.

Mar 29, 2008 - I seem to remember this theme being used in the 1980 NLCS. I was only five at the time, so I could definitely be wrong. I seem to remember that it was used as a bridge theme out of a commercial break, rather than an opening or a closing. Perhgaps it was used that way first, then made into an opening later.

Mar 30, 2008 - Thanks for posting this - brings back memories of rushing home after American Legion baseball and watching Monday Night baseball in early 80's. It has been 25 years - amazing what 60 seconds of music can do.

Apr 18, 2008 - This may go unanswered, but does ANYONE have the opening to the early 1980s World Series that featured a HUGE percussion jam? I remember a percussion jam that went on for ABSOLUTELY EVER, and with each beat or "hit", a new still photo appeared. They began drumming so quickly that the still pictures flew by at a very rapid pace. I don't even remember what network it was on, but it was the most AWESOME sports open EVER. Any help?

Apr 28, 2008 - That sounds like a montage of the history of the World Series that was done by NBC. It was posted by the guy who originally posted the intro from Game 3 of the '82 Series. I wish I'd thought to save it.

Mar 25, 2008 - FYI, they used the original 1976 theme for the '81 Series. And the 1982 All Star Game intro uses a different theme from both. I think this theme was only used in 1983.
