Jun 12, 2008 - I think a heavy bag might be good for tonfa practice. Be careful of your wrist. I will post more tonfa with audio.

Aug 2, 2008 - Are the bladed tonfa from Hellboy practical? And if so would you use them in the same style as you do the wooden ones?
ShinobiMystic Says:
Aug 2, 2008 - I think those arm blades are mad cool. They would have to be used a bit differently but the weapon is very much the same for most strikes.

Aug 19, 2008 - cool vid cool moves but your going to either have to train against a real person or put arms on it you will understand why fast moving arms without strength can still block any and all attacks if you'd watch a couple of my vid( thought aimless they may be at the moment)
ShinobiMystic Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - Thanks for the tips, I will consider wisely what you have said.

Sep 4, 2008 - i love the tonfa, and always considered them to be a very 'pure' weapon; almost an extension of your body (unlike weapons such as the flail or nunchaku, which have an element of uncertainty and a moment without control whenever you strike something). it sounds strange, but i think someone can get really good with nunchaku, but one can really 'know' the tonfa. there's a subtle difference between solid weapons (such as swords) and ones with chains or segmented parts. good video.
ShinobiMystic Says:
Sep 5, 2008 - Thanks for watching. I see what you mean about the weapon being solid and more able to be "known" I can use the Bo staff well but I cannot use the 3 section staff. Thanks
