May 16, 2008 - I believe Ron Paul is a man of the last century. One who believes in appeasement and retreat in a world that is more dangerous everyday. A person who believes that a pair of ruby red slippers and repeating "this is not kansas" three times will solve all our problems and bring us out of his nightmare. The way forward is the way we are going. It is the correct path, and will bring a smaller and smaller world to the peace table. It is not the easy way, but it is the best way.

LeMonde63 Says:

May 16, 2008 - Why do you think that Ron Paul's lack of support for a Bill that favors Israeli interests over American interests is appeasement? I think he was the only member of congress that seemed to grasp the "reality" that both Israel and Hamas are responsible for the discord in those countries. I personally don't like financing a foreign army.

LeMonde63 Says:

May 16, 2008 - I think George Washington was correct about "passionate attachments" to foreign countries, and his advice is timeless. It is unrealistic to think that Israel is more concerned with the welfare of the U.S than its own welfare.

May 16, 2008 - Hmmmmm... troll? one that uses a new term brought about by the elites(bush) recently? GTFO!

May 17, 2008 - I never knew bout this Bill. Go Ron Paul! woooooooot

Voidka Says:

May 17, 2008 - So you are saying its great that Americans are dieing for Israel? The only path we are taking is making others submit through death and destruction. On a global scale, the only individual that tried this was Hitler. Also, if you think about it in this aspect, Hitler came to power because there were rich elite Jews manipulating their country much like ours. Its called cause and effect. The elitest are the ones that are responsible for Hitler gaining enough support and power.

LeMonde63 Says:

May 17, 2008 - I was attempting to portray the opposite message. Ron Paul was the only congressman who objected to Bill H.R. 951, which condemns Hamas while legitimizing Israel's assaults against civilians. I was absolutely not trying to portray that American's should die for a foreign country. I think Israel should start taking sole responsibility for its own actions. It is a mature and prosperous country.

LeMonde63 Says:

May 17, 2008 - I think we should stop financing its military and stop our kids from dying for a foreign power, while our own country is falling to pieces. There is a regular version of this video that is easier to read (I hope), at the suggestion of another YouTuber.

May 17, 2008 - Probobly because I believe Israels interests as the only democracy in the mid east are in the interest of the US. The reality is that "Hamas" is a terrorist group. Dedicated to the annihalation of Israel. Actually it is just a group of haters who want to keep fighting for whatever reason. If Israel was disbanded for some unfathomable reason, then it would be on to Lebanon. Then probobly Jordan. Hamas and terrorist groups exist to promote terror, not to bring peace.

LeMonde63 Says:

May 18, 2008 - To gerry301: Israel is not a "democracy", and I can't see how it compares to a Constitutional government, as it is ideally supposed to apply in the United States. A cursory search on the internet will reveal this, including here on YouTube. Watch this video of a speech from Israeli professor Benjamin Beit Hallahmi: Youtube(dot)com(slash) watch?v=6ZyN0exZ6rA

gerry301 Says:

May 21, 2008 - A quick search on WIKI lists Israel as a Parlimentarian democracy. I'm also sure I can find a professor who says the US is not a democracy either. But we are quibbleing over semantics. It is still voter representation.

LeMonde63 Says:

May 21, 2008 - Turkey and Lebanon are Parliamentarian democracies in the Middle East. Palestine and Iran also elected their leaders. The devil is in the details. From Wiki-Democracy:..."there are two principles that any definition of democracy is required to have. The first principle is that all members of the society have equal access to power and the second that all members enjoy universally recognized freedoms and liberties..."

LeMonde63 Says:

May 21, 2008 - Israel has two sets of laws. One for Jews and another set for everyone else. This was a problem--often resulting in extreme violence--in the U.S once upon a time, even when there were black congressmen in the late 1800's. Our present laws do not support this behavior in America. Why should we presently laud a country that does? Why do we really support Israel? Is it the cause of democracy? The devil is in the details.
