Jul 25, 2008 - U cant blame the people. I told many of my friends not to except the highest loan for a morgage. Instead no the bank, who are supposed to be professionals, telling them it makes no sense to rent & the value of their home will always go up. Which in my lifetime that was true until now. So it wasnt hard to believe. I was very skeptical cause i saw houses double in value and knew that could not be real value. I made 2 times the value on my house but i bought it for 35k & sold b4 the big jump.

Jul 27, 2008 - When I arranged for my first loan, the mortgage broker I used, kept changing the terms of my loan over and over and over again until I was backed against a corner after putting down 20%. I did have an ARM but was told I could refinance it with no problem, but even with 20% down, I didnt have enough equity to refinance. It isnt just about a bunch of people who shouldnt have had a mortgage. I had no problem paying my loan the 1st 3 years. I heard the same thing the woman did.
