Just got it today, March 25, 2008. It is slick and fast..have to watch that dang speedometer! I did a quick film of it today, taken in the late afternoon shadows. The color changes somewhat in full sun, so I'll take more vids, but I wanted to get this up there so you could see! First time for a Sirius satellite radio for me..it is cool! Ford has some serious promotions for this car 'till the end of March, so that's what took me over the edge in buying it! I wanted the 5 speed A/T so I really had to hunt for one! This dealer is really nice, too, so my recommendation! :) Jack

Sep 4, 2008 - Well that's a very good reason to keep your grades up! The 6 is a good choice too, for the insurance rates will be cheaper, too (or at least they should be). That's the nice thing about a Mustang...you can customize it any way you want! Thanks for the comment! :) Jack

Sep 4, 2008 - yea its pretty sick....i got subwoofers at a garage sale that im saving to get installed and depending on which color (hopefully red, blue, or black) im going to get vinyl racing stripe which are pretty easy to install and not really expensive! and maybe down the line i might get like flowmasters or something!! but your cars awesome because it already has alot cool stuff on it

Sep 9, 2008 - Thanks! Fuel mileage isn't bad..it takes regular gas, and probably on a trip I'd get 22mpg! The sticker price was around 32K! But incentives brought that down..just depends on how much they want to move cars out of the dealership. 2K rebate down heree at the time! I know black looks cool, but down here, it's dusty..sand and such, and black always needs cleaning, trust me, and it shows every imperfection! I just love that candy apple color, I get comments on it all the time! Thanks! :) Jack

Sep 9, 2008 - Well, 10K would put a new car out of the pix,unless you got a very cheap imported model. I think you want something sporty, but being 16, insurance may be an issue. Whatever car you're looking at, check with your insurance agent..they will tell you if it's realistic or not. The Mazda RX8 would I think be expensive to insure. The Mustang might be a go if you got the 6..the 8 would be more costly and the 2005 GT might be out of your range. The 6 cyl model might be ok though. Parents will be happy!

I saw on the Mustang official website in the section "Build your own Mustang" that when you take the "C/S Pack", you have 3 or 4 kind of colour for the seats but they aren't very nice, the better are what you take for your Mustang but I don't like the white in the car. Did you ask to the dealer if there was a possibility to take a "basic" colour for the interior, like all black?

Sep 26, 2008 - The California Special package in 08 included two tone leather upholstery..for my red car, the choices were grey/black and two tone tan, I believe. I'd say it's best to look at the upholstery you're going to get on a live car..not an illustration on the internet or in a catalog. Look at the real thing before you make a decision..and look at it in daylight, not the florescent lights of the dealership. I think your choices are pretty limited to what Ford says are choices. Sep 26, 2008 - They don't offer that option yet, I believe. Maybe the 2010 models..it would probably mean a slight revision of the transmission. Here's an example of where Ford is behind the curve..this should be an option right now, I'd say, to keep even with the competition! Thanks for the comment! :) Jack

Aug 30, 2008 - Thanks, Mounir! The sticker price was about 32K dollars, but there were rebates on it, so the total was about 29K plus taxes. The wheels are 18 inch, one inch bigger than standard on the GT, and part of the California Special package. Horsepower is supposedly 300 @ 5750 rpm. and 320 pound-feet of torque.
