Sep 5, 2008 - Part 2: It is indeed better to suffer for doing good than to be acclaimed for folly. To lose for me is to gain. When persecuted for me, endure. Count it as joy, and rejoice. When you are insulted and scorned for me, you will receive the crown of righteousness. STAND TALL; STAND FIRM; STAND IN MY NAME; STAND ON MY TRUTH; STAND IN MY STRENGTH; STAND IN RIGHTEOUSNESS; STAND IN FAITH; STAND FOR ME....

matt3i6 Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - Jesus is all satisfying because he ATONED FOR OUR SINS - he made it so we can justly stand before God and not be condemned - not for material gain in this present world which is but a fleeting moment compared to eternity.

bethany0316 Says:

Sep 8, 2008 - I have been so hungry for this message! God is more than enough for me!

Gubby45 Says:

Sep 12, 2008 - There is this so called pastor named gregory dickcow on youtube preaching the same thing. Only he talkes about emoitional feeling. And tell you how you can buy his thirty dollar book. He teaches prosperity too, he's a phony, a pimp, and a false pastor. Avoid him at all cost. Repent Gregory! Or you will burn in hell.

QuakeCityRockers Says:

Sep 13, 2008 - This is OUTSTANDING, In the midst of our troubles and in the dark night of the soul, in the midst of our failures Christ alone is sufficient for us in our hour of need. As difficult as it may seem and at time impossible to imagine Christ for us in His sacrafice and his righteousness given to us is our greatest need. Oh how we desperatly need to wake up to and take hold of the fullness of Christ His work and His active and passive obedience.

DeniseLoveJESUS Says:

Sep 18, 2008 - Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Sep 18, 2008 - Joel Osteen should see this

lawrencewinter Says:

Sep 19, 2008 - word up JP

kysunflower Says:

Sep 22, 2008 - Jesus is all we need to be satisfied, we should not need money and stuff, thats idolatry, and the health and wealth people are worshipping a false man made god of money, idolatry, and preaching a false gospel, what the bible calls 'another gospel', not the gospel of Jesus Christ.

GruntingAragorn Says:

Sep 22, 2008 - Philippians 4:19 - "And my God will meet ALL your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus." Thank you Jesus for being my supplier! Thank you for blessing me abundantly, even though I do not deserve it in any way. Thank you for gaving Your life for me, for bringing the abundant life (John 10:10).

DuhPlatypusMan Says:

Sep 22, 2008 - okay....

buzzboygt Says:

Sep 28, 2008 - "The New Testament is the very best book that ever was or ever will be known in the world." - Charles Dickens "If there is anything in my thoughts or style to commend, the credit is due to my parents for instilling in me an early love of the Scriptures." -Daniel Webster "That Book [the Bible] is the rock on which our Republic rests." -Andrew Jackson "There are more sure marks of authenticity in the Bible than in any profane history." -Sir Issac Newton

AJTwo Says:

Sep 28, 2008 - Does anyone else think that this 'prosperity gospel' may be an excuse to justify acquiring wealth? It has been done before;kings claimed divine right to power. I have only recently begun to learn about Christianity, but it seems to me that this is a similar attempt to justify selfishness even though the Bible clearly promotes charity to the poor without claiming credit, generosity, living for others, refusing to worship self-enrichment and that material gains are meaningless.

Aysienne Says:

Sep 29, 2008 - this is why it is better to read your Bible often. man doesnt always fully understand what they preach, yet they go around preaching it anyway. keep your faith, read your Bible and pray constantly. God loves that.

n2jesus419 Says:

Oct 4, 2008 - I think that people can go to either extreme in this (and I think John Piper has a balanced view). Some people believe having wealth or acquiring wealth is a sin. That having a nice car or a nice house is a sin somehow. Then there are others who think that if you don't have those things, then you must be in sin. I think the important thing is that if you become wealthy, don't forget who gave you the ability to acquire wealth (Duet. 8:17,18). But also know you aren't entitled to it.

atestring Says:

Oct 4, 2008 - I agree with you except on one thing. John Piper is not balanced. He also does not have to yell like BOBBY KNIGHT.

dave1122drum Says:

Oct 4, 2008 - and all those uneducated never knew that we never had and still don't have the original autographs of scripture. Therefore we do not know what was originally said. We have thousands of copies that tell different translations. Bart ehrman kicks ASS. Please read his book Misquoting Jesus. All who rebut his view are just trying to maintain there pride in there long term fundamentalist christian views. Who wants to believe they have been wrong? Will your pride win?

dave1122drum Says:

Oct 4, 2008 - Why read a book that tells of a god who commands the slaughter of infants and sucklings and stoning of rebellious teenagers? Would you smash your son's head in just because he is rebellious? But wait, didn't you do what he did when you were young? Why would god want war over such a small piece of land? But wait his own said said "blessed are the piece keepers" "give to your enemies" Sounds like a bi-polar personality disorder to me. Or maybe a case for the Marcions.

got2liv4him Says:

Oct 5, 2008 - please listen to James White's Ehrman stuff... Bart is lacking in the logic department

buzzboygt Says:

Oct 6, 2008 - Where did he get his knowledge, and why does he just not tell the world and not be so selfish and force us to buy a book. No one believes that they are wrong and there was no intended pride in my quotations of famous people in the modern era.

buzzboygt Says:

Oct 6, 2008 - actually most of them did. They knew that all they had was copies. (Newton was more intellectual than you) We do not have the original copies of a lot of books. I guess we need to ditch Plato, Aristotle, and other Greeks and Romans as well (and every one that quotes them).

kluskey07 Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - Wow... Thats a pretty strong generalization. Its almost hard to find where to start. Bart Ehrman devises some radical statements from his research. Yes its true, we do not have the originals and there are roughly 400,000 variants among them. Sounds pretty damning huh? But this is nothing new to textual scholars- only to the general public. Truth is, of the 400,000 variants, 80 percent of them are spelling variations, ex: the Greek character "nu" is a common one. Another 19 percent are

kluskey07 Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - nonsense errors, where the scribe was inattentive mistakes and put another word were the right one should have been. For example, a scribe wrote the word "and" instead of "Lord" a common mistake in the Greek because the words look so similar- the characters "kai" and "kurios". Less than 1% of the variants actually change the meaning and they don't even change anything even close to the fundamentals! Bart Ehrman is a man bent on the debunking of Christianity, a prideful man himself.

Aysienne Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - have u read tha whole Bible, or jus little stories? cuz if u did, youd kno that tha Bible does NOT contradict itself. u jus don understnad cuz u don have tha full context. for every verse u hear or learn u must read tha whole chapter and sometimes the chapter before and after it to fully understand. don call God blasphemous names jus cuz u don get tha whole picture, foolish man. read your Bible. buy one and read it. go to a church. ppl do want to help.

Dead1yNinja Says:
