Short version of 11 minute DVD composed from my photographs and Spanish guitar music from Atahualpa Yupanqui and The Gypsy Kings. Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico is home to the "Mexican Pipeline" of the surfing world where huge barrels break at Playa Zicatela. Shot during the X-Games 13 of 2007. Watch the sequence of Chris Ward scoring a "Perfect 10" and other surfers ride the incredible tubes. More than just surfing, Puerto is a beautiful laid back fishing town with a bustling mercado, white sand beaches, colorful buildings and kind people.
