Feb 28, 2008 - When he holds up the babies and you see the sea and clouds in the back round it made me think of what an incredibly beautiful planet we have. There should be more positive inter species relations like this one. It would be sad indeed to loose it all!

Feb 29, 2008 - I am so glad some people in the world care for poor cute little critters. And if you live in a beach house then don't leave the porch light on because they follow the light of the moon to the water and they'll think the porch light is themoon.

Apr 4, 2008 - Good on you Selina and Bill for bringing the plight of sea turtles to a wider audience, and doing something practical to improve their probability of hatching success - which as you observe, its only their first hurdle to adulthood. Sea turtles for another 100million years, please!

Apr 4, 2008 - i live in connecticut and the same thing is happening with the hawk. When i was a kid it was a treat to see a hawk flying and now you see them daily. Over development is a shame but its also necessary. There are too many people. Dont have more than 2 kids people. Your killing animals if you do.

Apr 29, 2008 - why are turtles endangered

TravelingTurtleGirl Says:

May 25, 2008 - Turtles are endangered for a lot of reasons. While it's now illegal in most areas, eggs and adults have been harvested for centuries. Turtles take between 10 and 30 years to mature and start nesting themselves. Survival of hatchlings is also very low -- only about 1 in 10,000 will survive to adulthood for a lot of reasons, including predation by sharks, sea gulls, raccoons, humans and other concerns like fishing nets and diminishing nesting beaches and poor nutrition in overfished seas.

divpatel77 Says:

Jun 21, 2008 - It is the government's fault that they fail to restrict over development. It is people who care for these animals helps balance the Earth's eco-systems.

Jul 5, 2008 - I actually had the chance to go to Florida this summer and we ended up spending a day at Sea World. Now, I've always loved turtles- all of them and I finally got my chance to see Sea Turtles. I have to say, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I decided right then that I have to be a marine biologist. I have to do something to help these beautiful animals.

agentmuller80 Says:

Jul 11, 2008 - I hate people. Because of their greed and inability to be compassionate to the world's animals people have overpopulated and think they have more right to live than other creatures. What we need to do is implement a 1 baby per household limit and enforce it, our sacrifice will be the animals gain, as they have sacrificed for hundreds of years for our gain.
