A typical old organic manure mix is to use cow dung, cow urine, earth, jaggery and sometimes honey and curds in a mix and allowed to stay for a while. This is then applied on land s a fertilizer presumably this increases the biotic quality of the soil and helps the fixing of many nutrients by the plants. Here is one such thing being tried out in the village Mosarahalla by MYRADA, an NGO,which is a fully organic village and every house has an Ecosan unit. Some of the crazy things that happens with Ecosan is here. An earring has fallen into the urine diverting pipe and it is a tough job to get it out .
