Sep 30, 2008 - It's rating T because DC doesn't want an M rating, so they toned down the violence a little bit (ie., lowered the amount of blood and guts by a lot). Ed Boon even states this in an interview.

Oct 2, 2008 - This game is awesome, but I have one little bone to pick. I HATE the fully 3D Mortal Kombat games. I used to be scared (I still am) of the fatalities in UMK3. In the 3D Mortal Kombat games, the Fatalities are just dull... they just don't have that wierd feel that they had in the old games. I hope Midway comes to their senses and makes the next MK after this, in a 2.5D type of game.
