Apr 7, 2008 - I understand your confusion but I will try to answer some of the questions. The religion is not named after JESUS. Christ is not his last name it is a title which translates as savior or messiah pronouciation has been incorrect over the years and have went from "JESUS the Christ" to JESUS Christ.

Apr 7, 2008 - Your second question I will need to know in what scripture did you see that keep in mind that one of the biggest problems that many people have is the translation you have to study and cross reference because the original text is in ancient hebrew so you will need to study it like you would a lost language so what you are referring to as in 'why call me good' may or may not be the correct translation I would like to know what scripture you are referring to further answer.

Apr 7, 2008 - It is our responsibility as Christians to try and help people who are misled, because we will stand before God one day, and our sins/actions (or lack of) will be judged. I don't want anyone's blood on my hands; Although I must say, some of these comments leave a bitter taste in my own mouth! How some of them can claim to be Christians and be so hateful, I will never know.

People are just searching so hard for something, that is so very simple! John 3:16-17 says it best! I hope that people find Jesus, b/c one day, every knee WILL bow! Apr 7, 2008 - Abraham, yes Jesus obeys the Father's will. Which was that he die on the cross for our sins. Therefore God has exalted him and given him the name which is above every other name. Christians are named after Jesus because we are his followers. He is the good shepherd who laid down his life for the sheep. He calls us and we answer. By the Holy Spirit we come to trust in his substitutionary death to pay for our sins, and by his spirit we begin to live lives that look like Jesus.
