In 1962, Ginny Arnell recorded this lovely heartfelt ballad about devotion and marriage. As always, she turns a rousing and tenderly sincere performance, trademarks of this talented but greatly underrated pop vocalist from the early 60's.

Aug 24, 2008 - I'm a 44 year old guy her, and just discoverd Ginny's song "Dumbhead" last year! I had to have more of her, so I bought her best of CD. I really love her sweet voice. I can't understand why she was not a major star in her day. Well, the british invasion KILLED many careers in the mid 1960's, such as Diane Renay, Peggy March, The Angels, and many of the girl singers. One star that managed to survive for a short time was the Fabulous Lesley Gore!

boopkid Says:

Aug 24, 2008 - Reading the above echoes what happened to me in 2001, I was on a business trip in Chicago, and the local radio station played "Dumbhead" and it was instant love. It was 3 weeks after 9/11, and the innocence and sweetness of Ginny's voice just blew me away. I did the exact same thing you did and now I am a huge fan of hers as I am of Lesley. By the way, check out my video on Lesley for "Fools Rush In". Thanks for your comment.
