I guess that we can start off with the stupidity. Lots of stupidity went on today. There were people messing around on the tracks, people arguing with each other, etc. This guy walked around the gates (while they were down and activated), then started to panic and wasn't sure what to do. He then proceeded to walk across the tracks (including the track that the Amtrak was on). To make things more amazing, he did this right in front of BNSF workers. If a cop would have seen this guy where he was, I believe the fine is $500, but I'm not 100% sure. Now, for the railroad action, Metra F40PHM-2 199 departs the Belmont Station eastbound, meeting up with the outbound Amtrak Southwest Chief (complete with two Amtrak California Surfliner cars and two baggage cars, instead of the usual one baggage car). Both trains were running on the BNSF Chicago Subdivision. Andrewsaxamophone can be heard voicing his displeasure. About a month ago in Lisle, he had to watch the unfortunate scene of somebody getting hit by a Metra train. Obviously, as heard in the video, he didn't want to see it happen again. Filmed on June 24th, 2008.

Sep 12, 2008 - It's simple. He was walking slow, and he was fouling the tracks for a lengthy amount of time. Remember, the grade crossing is down, so in any circumstance, he had broke the law by going through a grade crossing with bells and lights activated.

Sep 12, 2008 - At least that the Amtrak is going slow. Imagine if he were to go about 60 mph, and the whole situation would have been different. He would have been hit if Amtrak were to go that fast, but he was lucky that the train was going about 20 mph. Plus, when he was at the otherside of the tracks, he was also wasn't at the otherside of the gates like what many smart people do and he was just a tip-toe away from the MT #3. Whatever moves that he committed in the video is completely illegal.
