You are right, baby steps, but lots of them :) I get up at 4:30 just to practive in the morning before the wind picks up, so I usually get 6 or 8 sessions a day (I take it to work in the mornings and practice in the parking lot too!) I also use RealFlight G4 sim and hour or so every day. I've had a lot of help from Sokol (see my subscriptions) and his videos, as well as all the online forums etc. Have you tried without the training gear?

Jul 26, 2008 - No, I have never tried without the training gear (scared). In the past couple of days I have made a big improvement, I actually have some controll of where it goes now. I will post a new video soon.

Aug 1, 2008 - it may take some time to get used to no training gear. after i hovered my bcpp for about a day, the one of the landing skid support sticks broke, so i took out my training gear and used one the rods for the skid. Once i got the hang of hovering in all positions, went on to forward flight on my 3rd day ( had PLENTY of time on the simulator before my first flight on the bcpp). good luck on your flying!

Aug 1, 2008 - I took of the training gear last night and was amazed at how smooth it was. I'm still going to put it back on to start trying hovers in different positions but it looks so much better without it.

Sep 4, 2008 - Dude, WTF? I felt like I was watching something out of a Pink Floyd flick with the blurry video and stange music. Helis are my life, keep up the good work.

Sep 4, 2008 - he he, yeah, I was using an older Canon digital camera that takes 30 second video clips... it sucked. I now have a nice High Def camera.... I love the song...
