There are already 3 million scientologists--a number that wasn't matched by the Mormons until well over 100 years after the prophet's death. Hubbard died in the 50's, a 60 year old church has more members than your church did after 170 years.

Scientology's "powerbase" is a few actors, yet Mormonism has been fundamental in forming the US into what it is today. Mormonism has some degree of significant influence extending into virtually every governmental and almost every academic institution. Proof most of all--you're not scared of Scientology.

Genocide is based on the concept of genetics (I guess you don't know that since ya'll reject DNA) and killing a spefic group of people designated as genetically "inferior." If you are trying to NOT operate from an ethnocentric view, then you MUST look at the values of the time and attempt to understand what contemporary thought was. If you are extrapolating to modern times, then you would consider the knowledge and understanding we have gained. At the time, Twain was in line with the thinking of the day. Now we look at many of his thoughts as barbaric - but that is ethnocentric.
