This is a from guard variation of the Peruvian D'Arce (itself A Peruvian Necktie Variation using the vice grip) that I have been developing. I was having a lot of success with the Peruvian D'Arce, so I decided to see if it would work from guard. So far, so good. I apologize for the quality of the video and lack of verbal walk-through; I have an ancient camera and this is my first attempt at any sort of video editing. Nonetheless, I hope that most jiu-jitsu players will find what I'm doing pretty self-explanatory. I'm sure there are better ways to do this, set it up, finish it, etc, and I look forward to seeing what it yields. Happy Hunting. EDIT: The music is, naturally, "Pork Chop Express," from the BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA SOUNDTRACK. Written and performed by John Carpenter himself.

Aug 3, 2008 - Am I seeing this right that it is a peruvian necktie setup from the bottom? Or is it a neck crank. Either way it is a sweet group of set ups. Nicely done!!

stingrza Says:

Aug 3, 2008 - It's a Peruvian, except from that Mission Pump setup when it ends up being more of a neck crank for some reason. Still working on that. Thanks for the post!

Aug 31, 2008 - Keep an eye out for a new video or two in the next few weeks. By request, I'll be posting more details on the Peruvian D'Arce, to better set this move up, and then I'll add some more Lo Pan footage with actual verbal walkthrough. Thanks to everyone for your comments. Happy Rolling.
